Please take a look at some correspondence between my neighbour Allen Whitehead and the Council regarding a solution to some of the worst effects of the continuing and arguably worsening flooding in the village. I expect we may see some more.
The louder we, as a community shout, the more likely the authorities will hear.

Well done Allen, a very practical and sensible solution. Having spent 2 hours with Ackie and Nick trying to "stem the flow", being able to guide the water to the car park would have been an easier solution. However, I think the car park is slightly up hill from Roodwell Cottages. Our other problem is water coming down from the lane by the Crofts, although there's a large storm drain on one side of the road, huge quantities of water flow unchecked down the opposite side.
